Note: GAAP net loss is dominated by large non cash charges from changes in fair value of convertible notes, derivative liabilities and SAFEs, which the Company states were approximately $72,388 million in the six months ended June 30, 2026 and $34,308 million for full year 2025, driven primarily by increases in the Company's own enterprise valuation.

On an Adjusted basis, which excludes these and other non cash items, the Company turned positive in the six months ended June 30, 2026, reporting Adjusted Operating Income of $1,618 million against losses in every full prior year shown.

Balance Sheet and Cash Flow

As of June 30, 2026, the Company reported Total Assets of $147,358 million and Total Liabilities of $117,467 million, alongside Redeemable Convertible Preferred Stock of $157,510 million and a Total Stockholders Deficit of $(127,619) million, a structure typical of a venture backed company ahead of IPO conversion of its preferred stock into common stock.

Stock based compensation expense was $1.2 billion for full year 2025 and $2.2 billion for the six months ended June 30, 2026 alone, reflecting the scale of equity compensation granted as the Company has scaled headcount and revenue.

How Does It Compare to Peers?

Anthropic discloses no directly comparable publicly traded peer in frontier AI model development. Its closest commonly cited competitor, OpenAI, remains privately held and does not publish audited comparable financial statements, so a numerical peer comparison of the kind used elsewhere in this series is not possible here.

• The Company's primary cloud distribution partners, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure, are simultaneously investors, infrastructure suppliers and, in parts of their own businesses, competitors, a structure the Company itself flags as a source of potential conflicts of interest.

• Systems integration partners named in the filing include Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG and PwC, while data and software partners include Salesforce and Snowflake, positioning Anthropic within the broader enterprise AI deployment ecosystem rather than as a standalone product company.

• Compute supply is drawn from AWS Trainium, Google TPUs, NVIDIA GPUs and AMD GPUs, giving the Company a diversified but still supplier dependent compute base.

Key Risks to Know Before Applying

• The Company has reported a GAAP net loss in every period presented, widening from $1,531 million in FY2023 to $41,965 million in FY2025 and $80,748 million in just the six months ended June 30, 2026, driven substantially by non cash fair value charges tied to its own rising enterprise valuation.

• Compute and infrastructure is the Company's largest expense and its single biggest operational dependency, requiring continued access to GPUs, TPUs and cloud capacity from a concentrated set of suppliers, several of whom are also investors, customers or competitors.

• Voting control is concentrated: the Founder LLC holds 50.1% of outstanding voting power through Class F stock, and the Long Term Benefit Trust elects a majority of the board through Class T stock, meaning public Class A holders have limited influence over corporate decisions, including any change of control.

• As a public benefit corporation, the Company has formal duties to balance its stated mission against stockholder financial interests, and these duties may at times conflict with maximising shareholder returns.

• The Company faces litigation, regulatory and safety related risk inherent to frontier AI development, including risk of harm from malicious use, misuse or unintended model behaviour, and recorded a $1,500 million charge in 2025 related to the Bartz settlement, illustrating the scale of legal exposure the business can face.

• The Company operates in a nascent industry with a limited operating history, and historical growth rates, however high, are explicitly stated by the Company as not indicative of future results.

• Revenue is concentrated among a relatively small number of large customers and distribution channels, so loss of a major customer relationship could disproportionately affect results.

• The regulatory and political environment around frontier AI is still evolving globally, and new rules could affect how the Company develops or deploys its models.

• The Company faces intense competition from both well capitalised incumbents and other AI focused companies, and demand for its products could grow more slowly than expected or decline.

• As a Controlled Company under Nasdaq rules, the Company is exempt from certain governance requirements that would otherwise apply, such as having a majority independent board.

Positives to Note

• Revenue grew from $41 million in FY2023 to $4,585 million in FY2025 and reached $16,286 million in just the six months ended June 30, 2026, with the Company stating that revenue grew 1,368% year over year for the three months ended June 30, 2026 alone, far outpacing the 300% growth in compute and infrastructure expense over the same period.

• On an Adjusted basis, the Company turned profitable in the six months ended June 30, 2026, reporting Adjusted Operating Income of $1,618 million and an Adjusted Operating Margin of 10%, a sharp inflection from Adjusted Operating Losses in every full prior year shown.

• The customer base has scaled meaningfully, with more than 11,900 customers above $100,000 in trailing twelve month revenue, more than 1,900 above $1 million, and approximately 250 above $10 million, alongside Net Revenue Retention of approximately 900% as of September 30, 2026.

• The Company holds a substantial liquidity position, with $112.4 billion in cash and cash equivalents plus $19.3 billion in short term investments as of June 30, 2026, against $141.1 billion raised in aggregate to date, providing significant runway to fund continued compute investment.

• Trailing twelve month revenue per employee rose to over $6.6 million as of September 30, 2026, up from $1.4 million a year earlier, indicating that revenue has scaled well ahead of headcount growth.

Format note: This is a US SEC registered offering, not an Indian SEBI regulated issue. Figures are presented in USD Millions rather than Rs. Lakhs, the listing venue is the Nasdaq Global Select Market rather than BSE or NSE, and the governing framework is the Securities Act of 1933 rather than SEBI ICDR Regulations. The structure below otherwise follows the same house format used across this series of reports.
